Last week, more than 3,000 holiday shoppers at Vancouver’s Pacific Centre mall were delighted to find a fun and unique TELUS Twitter vending machine, launched as part of our WWF-Canada Critter campaign.
The Twitter powered vending machine, full of our cute plush panda critters, asked visitors to send a tweet with the hashtag #HomeTweetHome and include a unique PIN shown on the machine’s screen in their message. Once a tweet was sent, the machine dispensed a free panda and we made a $1 donation to WWF.
Check out the awesome video of some very excited Vancouverites receiving their free pandas.
Clearly, Canadians are as passionate about protecting animals as our team is. With line-ups throughout the week, our team members worked hard to keep the vending machine stocked with loveable pandas.
Our team is wild about animals. Since 2000, we have given more than $7.8 million to animal and nature-related causes. Earlier this year we embarked on a four-year, $1 million partnership with WWF.
I encourage you to join us as we work to raise $250,000 for WWF this year. Visit givewherewelive.ca for more information..
Best wishes this holiday season and thank you for helping us keep Canadian critters and their habitats safe for years to come.
